Are you ready to hear plainly-spoken Truth?

Are you committed to these ideals?

We warmly welcome you to join us in the Work of the Gospel and for our weekly Sabbath worship service. You can participate with us as fellow workers in the building of a loving and productive Christian congregation!

Presently we are a very small group, meeting regularly on Sabbath afternoons near Salem, in Aumsville. Please see below for additional information and details.

Is a Sabbath Commanded for Christians?

The Biblical creation account, which describes the six days of God’s creative endeavors, concludes with the establishment of the divinely sanctified rest on the seventh day.

Yet in our modern world, the vast majority of people who call themselves Christians reject Sabbath-keeping.  Those who do cling to a Sabbath, generally substitute the first day of the week, in place of the Biblically-mandated seventh day.  Even among those who do keep the seventh-day Sabbath, few understand its observance to be one of the defining requirements for Christianity.

We may choose to deny any great significance in a rest day; but is ours the determining opinion?

The essential question is: “What does the heavenly Creator have to say about these practices, carried on in His name?”

Is a Sabbath commanded for Christians?  If so, which day must we observe as God’s Sabbath?  Can any be true Christians, apart from Sabbath-keeping?

This booklet-length article will take you to some New Testament passages which reveal surprising truths about the 7th day Sabbath!

Cascade Community Family and Child Development Center
574 North 11th Avenue
Aumsville, OR

Directions: From Salem: take Highway 22 East (from Interstate 5, this is Exit 253, going toward Stayton and Detroit Lake). Proceed east on Highway 22 to Exit 7 (Silver Falls Highway). At the stop sign at the end of the exit ramp, turn right (toward Aumsville) and proceed to the next stop sign (about 1/4 mile). Turn left at the stop sign, onto Aumsville Highway. The road goes directly into Aumsville, and becomes 11th Avenue upon entering town.

The Family and Child Development Center is a new building, located on School District property adjacent to Aumsville [Elementary] School, and behind the Transportation facility. Access is through the Aumsville School driveway, from 11th Avenue. The Development Center is situated just north of the school parking area.

Dress: Our custom is for ladies to wear modest blouses/skirts, skirt suits, or dresses. Gentlemen typically wear suits, sport jackets or other nice dress attire.

IMPORTANT NOTE for the Ladies: The multi-purpose room where we currently meet for services has a specially cushioned floor, which is vulnerable to puncture. To preserve the floor, the School District prohibits narrow-heeled shoes. (The walking surface of any heel must be larger than the size of a quarter coin.) Thank you for your cooperation in this effort.

We do not collect offerings at weekly worship services.
